blisters
- by mishalisha
got tired of walking around pyramid in my new 3.5 inch stilettos - “eating up” my feet. found a place to rest my legs while Gen went to get a new second mobile number.
got home with a load of blisters. sigh…
pantyhose

“some people just dont realise how fortunate they are, yet they continue to complain and whine about their miserable life”

watched Brüno. my verdict - sick! not gruesomely sick, but it’s just sick. a whole lot of stupid lame jokes on male sex organ, though it wasnt as sick as Borat.

i dont usually dress up to work since my line of work does not require me to meet clients (probably once or twice in a year, when the account manager need an expert aka me!). a simple top and usually a pair of black slacks and very minimal make up - that’s what i wear to work everyday. anyhow, i wore a skirt yesterday and i usually wear pantyhose to cover up the scars on my ugly legs. everything seems fine, not until towards the evening, i realised there is a hole on the right thigh of the pantyhose and ladder stretches all the way to the ankle.
ugh. i had to take it off, or i would look awkwardly weird wearing a torn pantyhose. it’s not fashion when you’re wearing it with your office formal wear. felt extremely uncomfortable and naked on the way home.
lesson learned: if opt for some cheap-ass pantyhose, make sure keep an extra in the bag or in the office.
brother

siblings. how often do we spend time together once we have all grown-up, with our own separate life and career path?
Andri wanted to catch UP and District 9 when there were first release in the cinema but due to his hectic timetable, he was not able to do so, until today. there were only a handful cinemas that are still showing these movies and the nearest and most convenient to him - TGV KLCC. he could not get anyone to watch it with him, due the very last minute planning, he went to watch alone. i somehow felt he wanted me to tag along, although i have watched both movies, i would, but i had to work. yes, on a public holiday.
right after his so-called movie marathon and once i’m done with my work, we met up at Lowyat Plaza. he had planned to get a Sennheiser headphone for his gaming. guys and gadgets for gaming - inseparable. Andri was hesitant, like always, into purchasing the somewhat expensive headphone - it is, to him, even for myself, i would not consider spending that kind for a headphone. although the sister (me) did mentioned of chipping in some money, he was still having second thoughts of getting them. cant blame him, he’s really managing his finances well, since he’s still studying and without any stable income.
he did not go with the purchase in the end. he couldn’t decide, and the sister had to mentioned the plan of changing keyboard contributes to this as well. we finally came up with a “pre plan” - to purchase both together the next time. since he’s aiming for a gaming headphone, it’s not complete without keyboard and mouse specially for gaming. i think the keyboard and the mouse would be on me, wouldn’t want my brother to worry about the cost for the 2. such a good sister i am. i know!
dinner at BBQ Plaza thereafter. got dad to pick us up at the monorail station. he was rather chatty today. i had to entertain to all his questions/conversation although i was a little exhausted. i wonder if he is also happy spending the day with the sister.
it was a simple day i spent with my brother despite i had to work on the earlier part of the day, i did enjoy spending my time with my brother. i may sound like some small kid who gets easily excited on almost every single thing, but, how often do i really get to spend some quality time together with my brother?
